Duke

My neighbor is having to re-home his dog, Duke, who is guessed to be a Shepard mix. I have helped the neighbor care for Duke for his whole life, he is 2, but can't keep him myself, though it breaks my heart. I already have 4 dogs and 2 rabbits in a 1 bedroom. Duke is very sweet and loving, but also very high energy. He will need a good size yard, but once he bonds with you, he is a lovebug. He is good with cats, and all size dogs. He will need to be neutered, but I will even pay for that. He has all his shots. He has lived outside his whole life, so he may need potty training, though a home I had him in temporarily said that he didn't pee in the house, though they did have a doggie door.

Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Housing is inadequate for pet
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): Owner, my neighbor doesn't want the responsibility anymore
What would you like your pet's new family to know?: Since he has been kept outside his whole life on a trolley system, he has pent up energy. Once he gets into a home, he will relax, but there will be an adjustment period. He is an absolute sweetheart who has not had the best life. I want to change that for him.
How far are you willing to travel to meet a new family?: Love Knows No Distance
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to surrender him or her to a rescue?: Two weeks
