I was diagnosed in 2023 with invasive ductal carcinoma. One of the hardest times of my and my family's lives. My precious husband decided to buy emotional support pets to help my children have a healthy distraction from my diagnosis. My children love the guineas and absolutely developed a bond with them. After about 2 years of having them, my middle daughter began developing severe allergies and hives on her hands due to the hay they eat. She reacted even when petting them. The thing that once brought her joy, she can no longer enjoy.
