Ellie

Ellie turned 4 in May. She is a brown/gray marble tabby. Spayed. Chipped. She is a rescue from Southampton animal shelter. She was adopted 2-1/2 years ago.

Ellie is beautiful, very sweet, funny, talkative and smarter than all of us put together - she loves to curl up on your lap if invited. She is a little wary of strangers, but eventually comes around on her own terms to present herself to be petted and talked to, but she doesn't like to be picked up. She eats well - fed only canned food. She likes Greenies treats and has even been trained to sit she gets them once or twice a day. She keeps herself very clean and is great with the litter box. Oh, and did I mention she’s a talker?

I don’t think she’d be happy with kids – little kids – and I have no idea about dogs. She was with lots of other cats when in the shelter, so she would just work that out if there was another one or two – just so long as she has a human to love her. She is really a cat person’s cat – people who really understand that it is always on their terms.
