Buddy

Wonderful older English lab/Boxer mix. Buddy is a loyal companion to someone who doesn’t have young kids or other pets. He’s primarily been with just our family of young adults and parents roaming on 3.5 acres with a half-acre fenced-in the back yard. Buddy has never needed an electric fence as he’s never wandered off his property which he loves. He takes great pride in protecting his family. He’s crate trained, house trained, neutered, and chipped, but spends most of his time in the garage with a doggie door leading out to his half-acre fenced yard, unless it’s a sunny day or we are out. If we go out, he is always right by one of our sides while we work. He’s in great shape for his age. Does not have any problems or illnesses, and loves attention and treats. Has lots of love left to give someone.

Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: Buddy is the most loyal and best dog we’ve ever owned. We are very sad to have to rehome him but feel it’s best for family relations. He’s got a lot of life left in him but he’s past the puppy hyper chewing up stage. He’s very smart and obeys commands. He’d make couple a great companion and loves his people dearly.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Pet Behavior
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): Buddy nipped our grandson as he scared him accidentally. Buddy has not been around any little kids as we got him when our kids were all in college. He is protective of our grandson but just isn’t quite sure about the spontaneity of a toddler, due to his not being around kids. He has 3.5 acres he can roam now and he loves this property and watching over it.
