Gigi and Louie

Hi everyone! A friend of mine is entering hospice and has the heartbreaking task of re-homing his two pits. He has had both dogs since they were puppies.
Time is of the essence to get them placed into a warm and loving home before we will have to place them in shelters.

Please consider opening your home to these two beautiful creatures. If you're interested, send me a message, and we can schedule a time for a phone call, and then a meeting with both dogs.

**NOTE: If you are only interested in taking one of the dogs, the owner is open to this. Though his wish remains they stay together, as the transition from their long-time owner will likely be stressful enough.

Gigi, 12, female, brown and white, 70 lbs. Gigi is docile, gentle, affectionate, and loving. She is shy and fearful of other dogs, so for this reason she and Louie should be the only dogs in the house.

Louie, 8, male, grey, 55 lbs. Goofy, high energy, loyal, attention-seeking! Louie is a character, with that blocky-headed pit look that melts your heart. He has not had formal obedience training, and I suspect he would do well with it. He's super smart, just has a lot of energy to burn. *Lou is nursing a rear leg injury. I can share more with you about this when we talk.

Aside from Lou's leg, both dogs are in excellent health. Updated vet records will come with new owners. They're fantastic with people and also good with kids (please note their current owner does not have kids of their own). They're well-trained and respond to voice command, love to be off-leash on trails, and will cuddle you as much as you let them. They have also lived with a cat and done fine!
