Scuba

We think Scuba is about five years old. We adopted him a bit over a year ago, so we aren't sure exactly how old he is. He's about 24 pounds, neutered mixed-breed mutt. He doesn't have any major health problems - a bit of arthritis in his back legs, and he has some minor gum issues that we're hoping to resolve with a deep cleaning by his vet in January. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations. He also has a spot at the Bone Adventure daycare and boarding in Costa Mesa, which has a three-month waitlist!

Scuba does great with kids of all ages and most other dogs. We don't know how he does with cats. He is a big cuddler and NOT super active or playful. He doesn't need a ton of walks and is fully house-trained. He would do best as a companion to a person or family who are home a lot and will let him cuddle up on the couch or in bed. He is extremely sweet and loving but also low-energy.

Scuba does best on carpet/rugs. We have hardwood with rugs, and he does okay on that, but he would struggle without the rugs around the house.

Rehoming reason details (if necessary): Our family is moving to Idaho in the next few months. Scuba is a wonderful dog, but we are worried that he would be miserable up there. He hates the mild cold and rain here in Costa Mesa! We can’t imagine how he'd do with the snow. We are looking for a loving home for Scuba here in Southern California.
