Penny is being rehomed by her current family so she can go from one loving family to another. She is such a good natured girl. Loves to chase birds and chew on sticks. Enjoys a good cuddle on the couch and is ready for a car ride at any moment. She would be a great copilot for any adventurer or one who likes to take walks and Penny can bring her baby bear with her. Penny's family decided to rehome her due to not getting along with their other female dog. She has gone through a 3 week board and train and does well with the other dog outside playing and in the house, if no resource is around (toys, food, treats). But the decision is based on it being hard on the family to constantly be on alert for a spat or fight. Penny truly deserves the perfect family or owner and has been a shelter dog in the past. When she was first brought into the house (a year and a half ago) we did have an incident where she was triggered by the other dog and in the crossfire nipped one of their teenagers. This was completely the owners fault and through training and the decision to not give up on her, she has done extremely well with people coming to the house, out in public and loves it when the UPS man comes and he gives her cookies. She is OK with cats although very interested in chasing them if they make quick movements and would probably do well with older kids or teenagers. The family is highly dedicated to finding her the perfect home when she can be her sweet Pen-Pen as she is referred to.
