Luna

We found Luna roughly three weeks ago roaming the streets. We took her to the local animal shelter to see if she has a microchip and she did. However, when we contacted the owners they did not want her back. We decided to keep her until we could find her a more permanent home. Luna is super sweet and loving. She is medium energy and loves to play and cuddle. Luna gets along with other dogs and seems to be good with kids although we have only seen a few interactions with other children. We have taken her hiking a couple of times and she does great off leash. Luna has severe separation anxiety which causes her to have accidents in the house and to chew things up when we are not home. She is also very scared of being left in a crate so crate training is not a great option for her. We have been working on desensitizing her to the crate however, it is a very long process. We live in an apartment and she barks when she hears our neighbors coming and going so someone who lives in a house would be preferred. Luna is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is not well trained but we have been working with her and she has some commands down. Because of her separation anxiety we feel that she would be best with someone/a family who can be home with her more and has more time to work on training her.
