We got Chaco from a shelter 9 months ago (2 years old at the time). He weighs about 60 pounds and is a pretty slender/muscly dog. He is house trained and has only exhibited problems peeing in the house when you put him in his crate for a long time without a bathroom break beforehand. He tends to be super calm and lazy for the majority of the day.
He is calm and friendly around humans most the time. While he is mostly friendly with other dogs, we are careful when taking him on a leash. He is an extreme cuddler and loves to lay on your lap/chest on the couch and bed.
We have put him through professional dog training with Tip Top K9 and he is pretty well responsive to most basic commands. He still tends to bark at people at the door, and is pretty defensive when they first walk into the house. He does have bite history with humans. The last occurrence was a few weeks ago. Not quite comfortable with how he might handle with kids so we thought he may not be the best fit for us.
