Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: She does have anxiety (covid pup) so any new situations, people, children, other dogs, etc. She will be very shy and timid at first. With lots of patience and reassurance Ive usually had good results helping her to work through her anxiety. She will come with a kennel, and feeding and water bowl. If long distance adoption is considered I will not be able to travel as I have a toddler. She can be walked on a leash, introducing her to people/interaction is not recommended as she will feel cornered and growl. If being introduced to people, animals or children it must be done where she has room to shy away , approach on her terms. She knows a few commands (sit, leave it) but will need further training. If around children the children should be older. She is sensitive about her stomach region ever since she was fixed. So roughhousing and climbing on is NOT recommended. She is a natural guard dog. She still has a bit of a oral fixation (gentle bites and lots of licking). She is not high energy but will still need to be walked often and have a backyard to run in. The more energy she is able to exert the calmer overall she will be. Would not recommend her to be with cats. She is a sweetheart , she just needs more one on one time then I am able to give her as I have a toddler.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Schedule, No Time
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to consider surrendering him or her to a rescue?: Not an option, my pet will stay with me for as long as it takes
Who is your veterinarian?: She doesnt have one at the moment
What do you feed your pet?: Rachels Big Life (she has had the best luck with this, sensitive stomach)
Would you consider a long distance adoption?:
