We have to come to the heartbreaking decision to rehome a dog we truly love and cherish- Louie. He is a special guy with special needs- he was very traumatized before we got him and will thrive in a home without cats, kids and only with calm, senior small- medium-sized dogs.
Louie has paws that are missing ligaments, so he is pain a lot of the time and on gabapentin and trazadone daily.
Louie is incredibly cuddly and loyal to his person. He is a fierce protector and has a fun personality to the person he trusts.
We recently came home with a newborn and he is resource guarding and attacking anyone who tries to pick up or be around baby and it is very scary, so we need to find a home for him asap before any bites.
Like most chihuahuas, Louie can show teeth and growl, and be reactive but he can be redirected and knows to go in his crate when he is overwhelmed.
He is a hunky guy, so sweet and needs a quiet place to heal.
