Kiska is a 2.5 year old Alaskan Husky mix. Kiska is extremely affectionate and enjoys snuggling on the couch, chewing bones/toys, and playing with other dogs. Tragically, Kiska was recently hit by a car and suffered spinal compression, resulting in a paralyzed back end. However, prior to the accident she was very active and in good shape, and adapted to the wheelchair like a pro.
Unfortunately, due to her owners' work schedules and lack of resources in the area they do not have the time to provide her with the stimulation needed for an enriching life as a special needs dog. Despite her injury, Kiska's lovable personality is intact, and she is looking for someone to give her a life full of running and snuggles. She had all her shots in January 2023.
Kiska is spayed, roughly 40 pounds, is good with kids, other dogs and cats. She enjoys being outside and playing fetch, but is also happy to relax and snuggle on the couch. She has adapted to the wheel cart extremely quickly. Kiska does appear to be regaining some mobility as well as the ability to urinate on her own.
