Winston

Winston is a Treeing Walker Coonhound who was rescued in Oct. 2020. He is 4 years old and is a goofy, funny, loving dog who will greet you with tail wags and a coonhound hug. As great of a dog as he is, he is all hound which means he needs space to run and a job to do. He was bred for hunting and chasing so a fenced-in yard or a rural setting would be ideal. These are things that we are unable to provide for him. He loves playing with other dogs and currently attends Doggy Day Camp twice a week. He would do well with other dogs in the home but no cats. He does need some continued training with his leash-walking and indoor manners (counter-surfing, jumping up on people, etc.) but he is food-motivated and scented high-value treats are some of his favorites. If you have experience with hounds or have previous dog training experience then he would be a great match for you. He is loyal to his family and would be a great companion for the right person and the right setting.
