We are sadly having to rehome our sweet cuddle bug Mia, as she is becoming increasingly aggressive with our other dog (food/resource guarding) and we believe she'd be so much better off in a home with no other pets and a calmer environment. She is an absolute sweetheart with kids and people, and really just needs to be in a quieter/calmer environment where she is the sole focus of someone's love!
We rescued Mia from Houston, where she'd had a litter of adorable Ridgeback mix puppies (who were also adopted around the PNW region). She's sweet, cuddly, and just wants to snuggle on the couch with you all day long. We get the best little howls and wiggles from her when we come home. She is potty trained and knows some basic commands, but definitely should be in a fenced yard because she loves to follow her nose and chase critters if she can!
Her ideal home environment would be without any other dogs or cats, but she is absolutely amazing with kids. One issue she does have is with delivery drivers—she got stepped on accidentally by one a few months back and ever since then she's shown more signs of aggression to them. So she wouldn't do well at a rural farm/free-range location where deliveries might be happening regularly and without supervision, unless she could reliably be in a fenced area.
Someone looking for a sweet girl that doesn't need too much exercise beyond daily walks and some romping in the yard would be just perfect for Mia. We absolutely adore her and want to find the best fit in a new loving home for her.
She is approximately 3 years old, ~40 lbs, spayed, microchipped, and current on all her vaccinations.
