This sweet girl was seen multiple times on the side of a high-traffic road over the course of a week, and ended up on my in-laws deck during a cold winter rainstorm. She was smart enough to climb into a cardboard box to sleep and shelter out of the rain. Having lost a dog on that same road to a speeding car, we brought her home in the hopes of finding her family. We have so far been unsuccessful. We think she’s been a stray for a while… she initially turned her nose up at dog food and preferred to “dumpster dive” through the kitchen trash every chance she had (at first!). She’s looks to be a small Beagle, weighs less than 10 pounds. She’s older (probably 6-8 yrs old at least), never spayed. We already have two big dogs and don’t have the capacity to keep her. She would make an excellent companion for a retiree or someone who can sit and pet and love on her all day long.
