Hera is a loving, sweet, playful older lady. Her very favorite thing to do is swim in lakes and rivers. She is an absolute pro at fetch and tug of war, and even though she is getting on in years she still does these activities with vigor daily. She is a very posh lady who loves sleeping on the softest things she can find. She is a fantastic burglar deterrent, she looks and sounds big and scary when someone is at the door, but once you allow them in she is a big ball of love.
My husband and I have had Hera since she was a pup and we love her very very much, but we had children and although she never had a problem with the few kids she had interactions with before she HATES having human brothers and sisters. although she has never truly liked them we thought that she would warm up to them over the years and she hasn't. Unfortunately she bit my young daughter for hugging her, and for the safety of our children and Hera's own comfort we are having to re-home her. We HATE to see her go, but we believe it's the best option for our family and Hera's comfortability.

She is so smart and sassy. She understands everything you say and listens so well, though she will huff a big sigh out of her floppy jowls if she doesn't agree with you.

She's a fantastic burglar deterrent, she looks and sounds big and scary when someone is at the door, but the second you let someone in she just wants them to love her. She doesn't jump on people. If you play wrestle with someone she will bark and lay on top of you until you stop, she enforces a speed limit in the house, if you run to fast she'll bark and chase you til you slow down (we call her the fun police). She will only eat Purina lamb and rice. She loves to be comfortable, if she can't lay on the couch or bed she will find the next coziest thing to lay on, blanket, pillow, stuffed animal, coat.
