after careful consideration and lots of back and forth I have made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome my dog, Goose. He is a very loving dog who I would do almost anything for but at this point in time I have had too many issues with him
that make him incompatible with my lifestyle. I know many of you will choose to judge me and call me a "bad dog owner" but i have exuahsted every avenue...
A little backstory: I got goose from the Denver dumb friends league when he was about 4 months old. At the time he had some gastrointestinal issues that was causing alot of stomach/bowel problems. I figured I could handle it with RX
probiotics and lots of love
but it wasnt until we got passed the first 2/3 months that i started to notice this was a chronic issue. So after $600 in vet bills and trying many different foods I am exhausted and feel like im failing him by allowing myself to be his owner...
Goose is also not potty trained and with his stomach issues it just seems to get worse and worse. I live in an apartment and am currently having to replace carpet in every room of my house because of his inability to be potty trained and i suppose my inability to be a good dog mom...
If you or anyone you know thinks they would have enough time and love in there heart to care for my sweet baby goose please let me know. Please know that i tried to be the best owner i could be and sometimes that entails letting go when necessary...
