Ruby is a 10-12 month old 50 lb. blue nose pittie mix & we are located in Columbus, GA. Ruby LOVES people! She will lick you, hug you, love you & try to get ALL your kisses! She adores our 12 year old daughter & cries every time she sees her. She walks great on a leash & will walk outside, immediately potty & let you know when she is ready to go back in.

On January 10th Ruby was on the kill list @ Columbus Animal Control; had an owner being discharged from the hospital in 24-48 hours. A fellow animal lover reached out asking if anyone could come pick up Ruby and hold her for 24- 48 hours so her person could leave the hospital & get her back. I of course said ABSOLUTELY I am on the way! Instead, Ruby was abandoned with me.
I had been in communication with Ruby’s owner & his daughter on an almost daily basis; however they have made NO positive attempts to get her back OR pay for ANY of her boarding fees! He has only called the boarding facility twice since January 11th & has paid $0 towards her boarding fees! I have not heard back from them since February 12th; nor has the boarding facility! I personally have gone WAY above & BEYOND to help them reunite with Ruby. $1,500 so far has been paid for her boarding!
We have been heartbroken for Ruby for FIFTY NINE days now (March 9th)! We only want the best for her & the home that she so lovingly deserves!
