Malina

Malina (aka Cali) is a 7 (almost 8) year old calico female with a very outgoing personality. She was the runt of a litter from a surrendered mommy cat but that didn't stop her from becoming quite the profound character! Though she is initially scared and shy to new surroundings, she loves people and is a top-notch cuddle partner.

She is not one to be bossed around so would not do well with a very alpha-type personality cat or dog but has gotten along with her various feline siblings quite well throughout her life.

She was born with a minor heart defect (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy [HCM]) but it was caught and treated early on so it has not worsened throughout her life. However, she does require once-a-day medication (atenolol in either pill or liquid form) though she is very easy to pill as she has been on this medication nearly her entire life. She has been seeing a cardiologist once a year to ensure that her condition does not worsen and has remained cleared for anesthesia and other events (e.g., travel) though as she gets along in years, minimal stress is her goal.

She would do well in a multi-pet household or as the only cat as long as her human is around frequently enough to play and cuddle with her.
