Whiskey

Meet Whiskey, your ideal adventure companion and expert couch napper!

If you're someone who adores outdoor exploration, whether it's hiking, beach visits, camping, or simply enjoying the local park, you're in luck! Whiskey shares your enthusiasm. This sweet, 4 year old male is an eager sidekick.

Whiskey is guaranteed to bring fun into your life. He enjoys playing tug-of-war, fetching, zooming around hillsides, and playing with vetted dog friends. In addition to his playful side, he also appreciates some downtime and loves nothing more than cozy daytime naps - with an occasional gentle snore. Whiskey is comfortable in an apartment, though easy access to the outdoors is a bonus.

Social and affectionate, Whiskey thrives in human company, though he's also cool with chill dogs. Whether he's cuddled up next to you or mingling in a crowd, he radiates charm. While he's mainly been in single-dog households, he has experience living with other dogs but might chase a cat, given the opportunity. Due to his timid nature, he should be supervised around small children.

Whiskey is a star student, having completed several training classes at Bernal Beast in SF, graduating from Pup 1, Pup 2, and Tricks classes. His obedience extends even off-leash in suitable environments, where he'll stay close by, always keeping an eye on you. He's motivated by affection, and tasty treats!

Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations, Whiskey has some manageable health issues that have been well-controlled for over 6 months. He's had a few seizures, which are now managed with CBD, and underwent successful treatment for a mast cell tumor two years ago.

While Whiskey isn't a fan of being alone and may exhibit stress behaviors like panting and barking, he's gradually improving his independence skills. He may also guard his ball and food from other dogs, but he's easily redirected. He is otherwise well-behaved and easy-going.

If you believe you can provide Whiskey with the loving home he deserves, please reach out to us. We're located near Duboce Park and would love to arrange a meet-and-greet to see if you're the perfect match for our beloved Whiskey.

Our priority is finding Whiskey a forever home where he'll be cherished just as much as he is with us. While we're saddened by our circumstances, we're committed to ensuring he finds the happiness he deserves.
