Auggie

It’s with a sad heart, we need to find a home for our sweet girl. We relocated three years ago and she needs a large fenced in yard with privacy and, of course, a loving home!

What commands does your dog know?: Come, sit, stay, down, paw, on your bed, heel.
Has your dog ever displayed any behavioral issues, such as biting another person or pet? If so, can you please provide details on what happened?: Never
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: She’s fine. Just don’t leave food where she can get it!
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: We moved from NY, living on several acres on a nature preserve to an in-town home in Jackson, WY. We live on the town bus route with a stop across the street, on a corner, with lots of foot traffic, tons of off-leash dogs and no property. It’s a lot for her and she’s constantly triggered with so much activity.
Is there a particular routine that works best for your dog in terms of feeding, walking, and sleep?: She’s easy. We feed her in the AM & PM; before our kids went to college, she slept with them. She loves walks and loves group walks. She just needs more land and privacy. She was raised with a Rottweiler, who was her best buddy until she passed. She’d be happy as a solo pet or with cats/dogs.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: She needs a large yard to run and play in and in a more rural location, with a loving family.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: She’s not a lap dog, she likes to lay on your legs and she’s a big kisser!
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Housing is Inadequate for Pet
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): Three years ago we moved from NY where we lived on several private fenced-in acres to an in-town home in Jackson, WY. We have no property for her to run around, we live on a very busy road, on a corner with lots of foot traffic, town bus stop and lots of dogs walking by which all trigger her. She is a very sweet, well cared for pup. We tried training her reactive behavior these past 3 years to no avail. She needs more privacy and land (which we are unable to provide), in a loving home.
