Stormi

American Staff & Labrador mix 3 year old dog female for rehoming

Stormi is a pleasure to be around. She is a loyal furry companion, and is generally always happy. She could easily be an emotional support animal since she is loyal to her human companion. She loves to eat, so she eats fast which I always have to slow her down or feed her more frequently with smaller portions so she doesn't choke. She is a fast runner, which is why I named her Stormi because of her agility and her speed. She absolutely enjoys fetching rolling objects, and brings the object back to you, to repeat the process. She is being raised in a clean, loving, limited noise environment. Stormi rarely barks. She is used to being around other dogs since she was raised with her parent dog mother and father, and 2 other dogs from her same litter. She is more independent as she gets older, and is coming into her own. She is stubborn around the other dogs but they all get along still. She is normally the one to ignitiate playtime, and she always wants to out run one of the other dogs. She enjoys being petted all over her body. She recieved her 1st round of vaccinations at 10 months old, and dewormer droplets every 3 months. Stormi is cage trained and house trained. She is domesticated. She spends more time inside than outside. She is a very curious pet. She is leash trained for walks outside. She is amazing around people. She would be the first one to walk up to someone with her friendly-playful personality.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: There are a few criteria that are most important for me to consider when rehoming Stormi. First, I would like her to be in an environment that is clean and peaceful (not really loud nor a lot of commotion). Second, her owners should have a lot of time to spend with her since she is nit used to being alone for extended period of times by herself. Also, she needs to go on daily walks, have play time, and if there is a fenced yard she can Rome around in would be great. Lastly, Stormi is affectionate-she like attention and to be petted frequently, so it would be ideal if she was the only pet or had one other pet sibling to keep her company.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: She is not used for breeding even though she is not spayed yet. When she was in heat, she is separated from the other dogs. This is the main reason she is cage trained. So look into getting her spayed if you don't want to deal with her in heat. Her last period was April 2, 2024 through April 28, 2024. She is not kept in the cage much. Only if she is unsupervised for a couple hours, and if she is in heat since I have other dogs.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Personal Problems
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): I'm experiencing a difficult period in my life at the moment. I was facing eviction so I have recently moved two weeks ago. I currently am renting a room, which is not enough space. I am facing financial hardships at the moment, and I had to get a second job which I am away from Stormi for longer durations, so I haven't been able to cater to her like I used to.
If applicable, do you have the legal right or necessary permission from the breeder or rescue organization to rehome this pet? :
Not Applicable
Yes
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to consider surrendering him or her to a rescue?: Not an option, my pet will stay with me for as long as it takes
Who is your veterinarian?: Stormi does not have a specific veterinarian.
What do you feed your pet?: Stormi enjoys nibbling on Rawhide eatable dog bones. These bones clean her teeth and curve boredom. Her main meal she eats twice a day consisting of wet dog food and solid pepple food. A few times a month she eats healthy human foods like rice, peas, carrots, pea nut butter, and unseasoned cooked plain chicken, duck, liver, and or lamb.
Do you have pet insurance for your pet? : No
