Sweet and sassy Lacey looking for her forever companion.

Lacey is the most adorable pup, she has the Basset hound body with the Labrador face. Her little legs seem to catch the eye of many making her extra unique. She is around 5.5 years old and weighs around 61 lbs. Lacey is very playful. She is sweet, lovable, loyal, trainable, sassy, and quirky. She has been through a lot in her life and has made great strides towards being more grounded. She still has some work to do and with the right person and environment she will truly thrive. She needs someone who is well versed in dog behavior. She is a gem! Lacey loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch movies, she enjoys car rides and exploring new places and her favorite is playing keep away with her toys. She is not a typical family dog, she wants to be the center of attention and she deserves it! She's waiting for her furever home! She will make the most amazing companion to right person.

If so, could you please share some details about the situation?: She has never bit anyone while in my care, however she has shown aggression towards other animals/people when she feels threatened. She does not always like kids and she is very prey driven. She's a protector dog.
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: She's usually fine. If in a new place she will whine but will calm down shortly after.
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: Strangers that approach her, loud noises, thunder. Other animals walking.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: She is a warrior. She's been through a lot and keeps taking huge leaps forward..she has come so far and is trainable to be the best dog ever for the right person.

Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Housing is Inadequate for Pet
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): Financial hardship and I can not keep her in the home I'm living in. She got aggressive towards my boyfriend's son. She did not bit him but was showing him she's fearful because he spooked her by falling over the dog gate. Once someone fears her she can sense it..she does not do good with kids.
