Important information about Banjo:
Banjo is a 48 lb pitbull-cattle dog mixture. He is about 3 1/2 years old (based on shelter estimate when adopted). He is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all shots, which we can provide the paperwork for upon adoption.
He has some wonderful traits that would make him a great cattle/ranch dog or a family dog: he has cattle dog instincts (herding, aiming to please, trainable), he is protective of property and he is extremely friendly and loves people. Banjo is trainable and food oriented, so I can see him thriving in plenty of roles, even as a working dog.
He is friendly with most other dogs, but I would suggest a supervised first meeting just in case.
He likes cats, but chases them and cats do not like him back. Probably best in a home without cats.
He loves all people and is good with kids.
Banjo is likely best on a ranch, farm or a yard with lots of space. He has a lot of energy and loves to run around and explore. A secure yard is best, he can be an escape artist at times!
Banjo's story:
Banjo is such a sweet and loyal dog. We got him from a shelter about a year and a half ago, but I am having trouble caring for him with my busy work and travel schedule, and am also moving soon and can no longer care for him in the way he needs. He is house trained, knows how to sit, stay and shake, loves his crate, very active and playful, and is such a lover. We're looking for a loving owner/family to take him in and give him the love we can no longer provide. A bigger, fenced in yard would be great for Banjo, he loves to run around and adventure! Loves treats, toys and cuddles.
Please reach out if you are interested in adopting him!
