Sunny

I am looking to rehome my sweet dog Sunny. She is a mixed breed, female dog, approx 1 year and 7 months ago. She loves the outdoors, and going to daycare to meet and play with friends.

Gender: Female
Size (at full grown): Medium
Weight (in pounds) at full-grown size. Example: 35: 50
Primary Color: Calico/Multi/Tricolor
What are your pet's favorite toys and activities?: Sunny loves long walks, running around a gated yard, and chewing on a tasty bone.
Has your dog received any formal obedience training?: Yes
What commands does your dog know?: Sit, stay, lay down/down, come, off, belly (when she's comfortable). Ongoing training would be helpful to reinforce these commands + learning new ones.
Has your dog ever exhibited any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, could you please share some details about the situation?: Sunny bit a dog once when defending herself at a dog park. The other dog did not have life altering injuries, and did not have to be hospitalized or receive stitches.
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: Sunny experiences separation anxiety which makes being left alone challenging. She can be left alone for short bouts of time, not extending past 45 minutes. More than that she may display destructive behavior to the exit door, and appear very agitated and panting when you come back home.
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: Being left alone for extended periods of time, meeting strangers, and sometimes walking in the rain (she has gotten much better with this).
Is there a particular routine that works best for your dog in terms of feeding, walking, and sleep?: 2-3 walks per day (morning, afternoon, night), 2 feedings per day (morning & night after walks), sleeping throughout the day on the floor or in her bed.

How is your dog with other dogs?: Friendly: Generally gets along well with other dogs.
How is your dog with cats?: Aggressive: Does not get along with cats and may show aggressive behavior.
What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: The way she looks up at me when she wants attention or when she curls up next to me on the couch.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: An adoptive family would ideally have two partners in the household who could share the responsibility of taking care of Sunny. They would live in a house with a gated yard, or a spacious apt with a park in the area. The family would not have small children or other animals at first. They would need to continue Sunny's training with introducing new additions to the family. The guardians will have some experience and compassion for shelter animals. Sunny is trainable but will need patient and consistent guardians.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Personal Problems
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): I am rehoming her because I don't have the means to consistently provide the care she deserves.
