My dog’s name is Ditman and he’s a 4 year old pit bull mix. He’s a sweetheart and loves other dogs and children. Unfortunately I’m now caring for a sick family member and can no longer keep him with me. I’ve reached out to family and friends, and paid for a long term sitter in the meantime, but I’m running out of options. At this point I’m in desperate need of a loving and safe space for Ditman to call home.
He has separation anxiety but does okay when alone for 4-5 hours at a time. He’d probably do best in a home with an owner who works from home, but he’s resilient and will acclimate either way! Ditman will definitely be your shadow and follow you everywhere but you will feel so loved! He’s the best and it breaks my heart to have to do this. Happy to provide more information to any interested adopters!

What are your pet's favorite toys and activities?:
Ditman loves a good bone and really loves playing with other dogs. He enjoys walks but can get overstimulated easily so I either keep them short or take him to a park/hike with less noise. He’s pretty happy just being with people and dogs!
Has your dog received any formal obedience training?:
Not Sure
What commands does your dog know?:
Sit, stay, “nice” when taking treat
Has your dog ever exhibited any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, could you please share some details about the situation?:
No. Ditman will chew on things if left alone too long tho (he’s super smart and needs mental stimulation)
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?:
He’s ok for short periods but anything longer than 4-5 hours he tends to get anxious.
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?:
Separation anxiety.
Is there a particular routine that works best for your dog in terms of feeding, walking, and sleep?:
Ditman is very adaptable but he does best if he gets two walks a day and two feedings. He doesn’t like to be crated (and will bite his way out), so he’d do best in a home where he can sleep with you or at least in the same room.

Not sure: Haven't had enough interaction to determine.
What's the most endearing thing about your dog?:
Ditman will be your best bud. He loves to love and would be by your side 24/7 if given the option. He also is happiest with other dogs.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
Just a safe and loving home that is okay not crating him. It’s also important that he has a patient owner and one that is aware of the quirks and needs of his breed.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
We think Ditman might be part boxer, so he definitely has bursts of high energy, however he’ll also sleep in til noon if you let him.
