Urgently needing a home
In April, Georgia was rescued off the streets after she was running in the middle of the road and almost hit by a car. She has been extremely friendly and trusting since the day we picked her up and we couldn’t have asked for a better rescue. Georgia had a litter of puppies approximately 8 weeks prior to us finding her but none of her puppies were found in the area she was picked up. Georgia was taken to the vet where she got a full checkup, she received all of her shots, she was spayed, she had a vulvaplasty (due to an increased risk of UTIs), and she was microchipped. She was kept in quarantine from our other dog for approximately a month and once she was introduced to our other rescue, it became clear that she was not dog friendly. She does not show immediate aggression and is able to be in settings with other animals if on a leash but will attack when unprovoked if out with another dog. Georgia should not be in a home with any other animals and we are unsure if she is okay with younger children. She has clearly had some trauma with being in a crate and will break her teeth and jaw trying to get out if you put her in once. She is house trained and will let you know if she needs to go outside.
Georgia loves people and loves to snuggle up to her owners. She will place her head in the crook of your neck while laying in bed and she loves to give kisses. She is a puppy still and is learning how to play nicely and share her toys (she usually just plays with them by herself). Her toys are referred to as her babies and she knows to grab one if you ask for it. If placed in a new environment it takes her a while to get comfortable but once she is she settles in quite nicely as long as she has a comfortable place to lay.
It breaks my heart that we are unable to keep this sweet girl but for the safety of our other dog, this is the best option.
