Slightly aggressive (we like to call him bear and Rico Puerto Rico)
He is a beagle and labrador mix with a sassy attitude he is currently one year old. He has big paws but between the two breeds, he has the beagle-height. Rico has beagle coloring it's just hard to see in the dark. when we got him he originally had a pretty shade of green eyes but his eyes became brown as he aged. you might need a muzzle and training collar (but please don't shock him) when you take him on walks.

Where did you get your pet?:
Got him from a backyard breeder in Jacksonville he was selling Rico's litter mates because he was getting treated for his last stage of cancer and he wasn't sure if he would live during the treatment we weren't originally supposed to get Rico. Originally he was supposed to go to a buyer who also sells and breeds dogs but he never showed up on time and the breeder family was willing to take the mom and dad but they were not willing to take Rico with them. We knew the guy from Facebook and he knew we were looking for a new dog so we went down their with our kids and they got attached to Rico so the guy was willing to give us Rico for free

Has your dog ever exhibited any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, could you please share some details about the situation?:
random outburst of aggression like biting really hard but it might be that he didn't really get a chance to be corrected by his parents. Before he was given to us the breeder who was friends with us would let the puppies fight for food and barely let the mother feed them he just kept breeding her so he has food aggression and was bottle feed until he was old enough to eat dry and wet food
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?:
He's a very loving dog who gets too attached to his owners the moment you leave he will start crying and barking for you to come back he will also do this when he is put in the cage as well as you walking away for a minute
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?:
not sure he gets along well with our other dogs but his demeanor will change once it comes to food or seeing cars pass by and other people walking by themself or with their dogs so don't automatically assume he will get attach quickly

muzzle first so he can get use to you and others. those who want to adopt him must at least enjoy going outdoors a lot preferably farmers, hunters, or any other working career and activities he needs to be active he is not meant to be indoors all day long
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
He sheds a lot so wouldn't recommend him to anyone who's allergic to dogs and it takes a lot of time but he prefers hand bathing rather then filling up the tub with water (cover his pills in peanut butter) if we have a chance we can send him with homemade dog treats but do not let your kids or anyone else beside you near him until he gets a customed to you and his new surroundings
