Mika

Mika (1-2 Month Foster)

Introducing Mika, our beautiful bi-color German Shepherd. She's about 16 months old (as of August 2024) and is a ball of love and energy. She's the essential GSD: loving, loyal, and with boundless energy. She will chase a rag and can play fetch non-stop, but also settles very well to her "mat" and loves nothing more than a good pet-down. She's crate trained, house broken, has no behavioral issues, responds to ~10 commands, etc. Very good house manners: she's never chewed a shoe or a sock or furniture (though she did take nibble on her doggie gate when she was ~6 months old). She is a very very good dog.

She does get very excitable when she sees other dogs (i.e., wants nothing more than to play), but has never so much as growled at another dog. Mika is also a great size - she's on the smaller side for GSDs, at ~55 lbs and 20 inches.

Our young family is growing - new baby incoming - and given there's really only one "dog person" in the house, along with work/travel schedules and Mika's energy levels, we are looking for a loving foster home willing to take her for one or two months while we adjust to our new life and schedule.
