Has your dog ever exhibited any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, could you please share some details about the situation?:
Yes, Branch attacked our next door neighbors small dog after coming out and immediately barking. I do believe Branch was just protecting, however, he did take the skin of the neighbors 13 year old dog. We have two dogs and they were playing outside with each other, having a great time. The neighbor let her dogs out to use the restroom and immediately they walked out barking. I believe this triggered Branch and he immediately routed from playing to protecting. The neighbors dog was sent off to the emergency vet and we did pay for all vet bills. Unfortunately, this is the reason we are needing to rehome pet. We have 7 children and are not able to guarantee he will not be let out off a leash. Although we do leash him and have trained him to sit before going outside and being leashed, there is still no guarantee. We do not want this stress for our neighbors and/or our family either.
How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?:
He is well behaved.
Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?:
Branch is protective to his family, so he will let you know when there is something or someone else around that is normally not there. He is good with other people and dogs, once he has the opportunity to sniff them out.
Is there a particular routine that works best for your dog in terms of feeding, walking, and sleep?:
Branch eats between 7-8AM and 5-6PM, 1 Cup 2xDay. He does love to go on walks and loves to run around and play ball. It would be awesome if he had a fenced in yard to play in.

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
A fenced in yard, someone that likes to be home and hang with him. He is affectionate and loving, as well as protective.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
He is trainable. He has learned to sit, stay, and shake. I am pretty sure with some training he would roll over, especially for a treat. He does love to chase grasshoppers, frogs, and squirrels. He will watch them go all the way up the tree and follow them along as they hop from tree to tree. He is quite the curious dog. Besides the incident with the neighbors dogs and some silly young puppy experiences, he is growing up well. He loves our children, he plays with the cat, and loves hanging with his brother Cash. He will follow you from room to room, making sure you are not lonely or of course, drop some crumbs on the ground.
