Rune

Runey Tunes in need of new home!

I got Rune after my older brother moved away and took our family dog with him. He's been my best friend since the day I got him. He came with me to school during my first year of college and got me through some of my hardest times. He is a registered emotional support animal and is the best cuddler.

Runes breed is loyal, protective, intelligent, but most of all incredibly loving. He wants to bond with you more than anything and would stay attached to your hip all day if he could. He's got the funniest little walk, the cutest floppy ears, and a pretty little white bowtie on his chest to tie in his jet black tuxedo coat.

He loves to go on hikes, play in the snow, dig in the sand and run in the mud. He is the ultimate outdoors dog. Rune is off leash trained and it's been the best thing in the world. However, I should mention he never got any formal off leash training, he's just that loyal. He would rather be right up next to you than anywhere else.

I love my dog, and he deserves more time and attention than I have to give him right now. I'm a college student and am in and out of the house often so I lack the scheduling to focus on him as often as he needs. We also lack a yard or property nearly big enough for him to be an outdoor dog either.

I'm very strict on whomever he rehouse with has a yard or property! Kids are no problem and would even be a big bonus for Rune as he loves them! It's important that someone be around to cuddle and love up on him as much as he wants to cuddle and love up on you!

He is not neutered and can be a dominant breed specifically in his own home, so I wouldn't recommend he be rehomed with any other dogs unless they were formally introduced first, however I take him to the dog park all the time and he always gets along well with other pets.

Cane Corso's are an extremely strong breed and he is a pure bred boy! They are not for first time dog owners! The best fact I love to give people is that an adult African lion has a bite force PSI of 675. An adult male Corso's is 700 PSI. That being said, Rune is not a dog to be afraid of, as he really is the kindest thing in the world. But he is a dog you have to respect and understand when to remove him from a situation as well!

They are an amazing breed and I can't wait to own more Corso's in my lifetime. I'll forever recommend this breed to anyone looking for an easy going, loving, and loyal dog. Rune is looking to be your new best friend!

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: Rune is the biggest cuddle bug you'll ever meet. Corso's are what we like to call a velcro breed, so they like to be right up next to you all the time. He will literally glue himself to your hip if you let him!
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: I'm really looking for someone who has some property or a large yard so Rune can really experience being a dog! I would also be open to someone who is truly looking for a companion to spend all of their time with! I feel most comfortable with an experienced dog owner!
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: Rune is off leash trained! However, that isn't because he ever got any formal off leash training, but he would genuinely always rather be right up next to you than running away anywhere else! I would not recommend letting him lose on a busy beach as he is still a friendly dog and will get super excited and run up to people (Rune is an intimidating dog so this can make people nervous), but rest assured he would never attack someone if he did!
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Schedule, No Time
Rehoming reason details (if necessary): I am a full time college student and work two jobs. Unfortunately, I don't have the time Rune needs to be loved and cared for fully! He deserves more attention than I can give him at the moment:)
