Hello! Looking to re-home Oliver (nickname: Ollie). This shorthaired cat is about 5 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines until next year. He uses the litter box appropriately and eats well. He loves to play!
Unfortunately, he can nip/bite, which I discovered after adopting him. I adopted him at the end of June and took him in because he was already front declawed, a requirement from my landlord. I live with two other housemates who also wanted a cat. Though I'd love to keep him and train him, which I think is possible, he would do better in another home, as his occasional nipping behaviors have been stressful for my housemates. He has broken skin, unfortunately, though he hasn't caused serious injury/infection. He has targeted ankles, calves, and thighs. We are required to have an indoor cat only where we live, and he has probably been bored.
He would love to be able to go outside, and would probably flourish in a place that lets him come and go and is also safe. Though he is front declawed, he shows promise as a hunter. (As I mentioned, he loves to play!)
I'm thinking farm, or family with property, or any cat lover willing to win over a slightly reluctant feline, or anyone who would appreciate some pest control and is willing to give a cat some time to warm up. This cat can be affectionate, and does not bite when held (I've picked him up multiple times). I really want Oliver to have a good future.
