Lucy

Lucy is a gorgeous lean, muscular 8 month old 65lb (& growing) intact female Black Labrador/Weimaraner rescue who is highly social, playful, energetic, excitable, cuddly and sweet with a gentle and calm spirit she will age into.

She is super healthy, strong, fully vaccinated and house trained. She is also behavior trained including good recall but as a puppy still needs continued training for jumping and being mouthy and luckily is highly trainable & food-driven. She loves hikes (off-leash), the beach (off-leash) daily dog park play dates with well-behaving dogs (1hr daily), playing fetch & tug-o-war with people including kids (1hr daily) & walks (30min daily).

She needs a spacious backyard to run around in, bone marrow for dental health, collagen bones to chew on to redirect her mouthy tendencies, rope toy, chuck it & chew toys to keep her occupied. She loves the beach, hikes, dog play, all play. She thrives on positive reinforcement, redirection, attention, companionship and single-ingredient beef liver dog treats!

She needs bi-weekly nail trims and weekly/bi-weekly baths & monthly flea medication. She is attached and can have slight separation anxiety in her pen while you’re in the house but can’t watch her but you can easily leave her in there for 4-6 hours if you’re out of the house. You have to watch her lab/puppy habit of eating random things she finds on the ground but she won’t chew your house or furnishings up.

She is expected to calm down her excitability at around 2-3 years so you’re making a big commitment. Please only inquire if you can fully keep up with her energy, training and needs long term. She’s a ton of work but she’s very much worth it because she’s an excellent companion if you have the time & energy to invest in her. I’m happy to help transition her smoothly by answering all your questions and offering whatever advice is needed so you’re both comfortable. We love her but simply cannot keep up with her. Our loss is your gain.

Includes Large tall white metal play pen/crate, white wooden gate, dog bed, collars, leashes, dog bowl set, Kong, spray bottle, dog training book, brush, Nylabone, Chuckit Bucket of toys, tug-o-war rope, lick mats, hiking dog water bottle, vaccination records, list of commands she knows, contacts for vet and trainer.
