Meet Athena
Hi there! Athena is a very affectionate, curious, friendly, funny, and playful! But timid at first. Once she knows you are okay though she will presently roll over and present her belly for rubs and pets.
She's smart and wants to please, but the shyness holds her back. But it's getting better. She sleeps in a crate all night. She is not crazy about a leash, so we are still working on that.
Athena is great with every dog she meets, and would do best in a home with another dog to help build her confidence she is also very loyal to loved ones. She is family friendly - gentle, good with children, older folks and other dogs and cats. She is a smart and loving girl. She would love to lay on the couch and cuddle with you. But, is also full of puppy energy and very curious about the world at times.
She is a very special pup and would make the perfect addition to any family. If you want to open your heart and your home to her. Athena is a sweet submissive gal who needs the perfect forever home.
A little back story of Athena is she was found abandon on the highway perfectly healthy. All the shelters around me are over filling with dogs and are having to euthanize one or more dogs every day which is why it’s important to get your dogs spayed and neutered.
I’m unable to keep her because I already have 6 high energy dogs that need my attention 24/7. Along with three cats. I’m also in college so I’m unable to give her what she needs. I will have to take her to a shelter if she is not found a home in two weeks.
