Suki

Sweet Itty Bitty Pitty

Suki is a 35lb bull terrier mix, who is spayed and vaxxed
she is very svelt and is mostly black with some white on her feet, neck, and face

She is a sweetheart who loves her people, but can be kind of timid around men

She has a high prey drive and should not live with cats or small animals as she will kill them.
This would probably make her a great barn/farm/rodent catcher dog.

She is great with kids, but can be a little jumpy when paying and knock them over

She is very friendly and wants to play with dogs, but also wants to be alpha. If a dog snaps at her she will snap back. Would probably not do well with old, cranky dogs or macho alpha dogs.
She will occasionally resource guard “her” space indoors (totally fine outdoors), but this seems trainable if you have the time and energy.

She does not like being left alone

She is very athletic and love to full sprint after the ball when playing fetch. Would probably love obstacle course/agility training!

She is not leash trained and will try to slip off leash

She is not well mannered and will jump up on people for attention and pets and seldom listens to off/down

Once she’s finally worn out she loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch and will just snooze

She grew up as a puppy chained outside 24/7 and was abused, then she was living on the streets with a homeless person. Finally she was found running along the Highway and brought back to the shelter where we adopted her.
We were assured she was good with cats and even had a meet and greet with her and my cat before we adopted her. Unfortunately a couple months later she attacked and nearly killed my cat. We’ve been trying to find another home for her since, but to no avail.

She gets along fantastically with my golden retriever, I know they will both be heartbroken when they are separated.

She has a heart of gold and is a victim of her upbringing and prey drive. She will make a great, loving companion to somebody with patience and time and attention to give her.
