Tobi's Next Chapter
Hi! Tobi is a Catahoula Leopard Cur and he is 5 years old. I adopted him from a pet store in Fairless Hills after hearing his story in February 2020. He was a hurricane rescue from Louisiana, and a woman had fostered him until he was transferred up to PA when he was about 4 months old. He is an affectionate, energetic dog that loves to go on walks and hikes. He loves laying outside in the sun and chasing squirrels. He has always been a lover of people, especially when they give him belly rubs and attention. I would love to find him a home that has a yard so he can run around and play. He gets along with small dogs and some older medium sized dogs best. He has been my best friend and companion for the last 4.5 years, and it breaks my heart to have to say goodbye. I am moving out of the country in a few months with no other options. I'm really hoping to find him a new best friend that will love and care for him the way every dog deserves to be cared for.

No. He does not like every dog so we don't try to play with larger dogs that are around his age. He is protective of me but has always showed love to people. If he isn't feeling well, he might growl letting you know to stay away, but that has only happened in rare occasions.

He is good alone for extended periods of time.

We go on a walk every morning and every evening. When I'm home during the day, I let him outside throughout the day. He likes to sleep in bed with me or on the couch. He eats every morning around 7-8 am and every evening between 6-7

Tobi is always up for an adventure! He loves the outdoors and being active. He also loves people, always making friends wherever we go. He has a big heart, because he loves to give and receive love.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
I'd love Tobi to find a home where there is space for him to run around and be active. He loves the outdoors, and often sits outside for hours on the deck in the sun. He also loves to go on hikes and swim in the creek. It would be wonderful he find an active companion to go on adventures with.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
Tobi is a very loyal dog. He has always made me feel so protected and loved. He is definitely an alpha dog, but deep down, a big baby that loves to be cuddled and pet.
