What are your pet's favorite toys and activities?: Going for a walk, laying around in the house and yard, food driven. No special toys as he loses interest in them fast.

What commands does your dog know?: Sit, lay down, speak (bark), stay, wait, come, leave it. He is good on the leash.

Has your dog ever exhibited any challenging behaviors, such as biting a person or another pet? If so, could you please share some details about the situation?: Yes, he has bitten two people. In one case, parents-in-law were visiting, Hugo was in the yard and the father-in-law came out and try to grab Hugo’s bowl to add water to it. Hugo ran to him and bit on the forearm, did not require ER or stitches. The second case, sister-in-law was visiting recently. He really liked her and was licking her hands. There were no issues, however, the following evening, he was on the couch and she was trying to unplug her computer, leaned over him and something made a loud sound that startled him and he bit her on the face. Required ER visit and stitches on the nose.

How does your dog react to being left alone for short periods?: He is normally very docile and will lay around and sleep the whole day if needed.

Are there any specific triggers that cause your dog anxiety or stress?: Invading his personal space by strangers, people or dogs. He is hunt driven and sometimes will start chasing a geiko in the yard and stops listening to commands.

Is there a particular routine that works best for your dog in terms of feeding, walking, and sleep?: He loves to eat first thing in the morning. We only feed him once a day. He will go for a walk at any time

Does your pet have any history of health issues or medical conditions that potential adopters should be aware of?: He is very healthy and in good shape. He does get occasional allergies, but responds great to allergy shots every 4-5 months.
