Mochi is a sweet and sensitive, but fearful Frenchie with a heart he wishes could be big enough for everyone. Mochi is quite anxious, but once he decides you’re family, he’ll love you with unmatched loyalty and sweetness. His anxiety gets in the way of his big heart. He truly just wants to be loved. He’s happiest in his crate, which is his safe space, and he’s a great co-pilot on car rides, he has even been across the US and back.
While he’s working on leash manners, especially around bigger dogs, he’s making progress with patience and love. He has an excellent training foundation and is even muzzle trained, a muzzle is an absolute must for nail trimming and vet visits, as he has fear based aggression. He’s the smartest frenchie you will ever meet and he has only gotten better with time. We are hoping to find a quiet, child-free home where he can truly relax and be himself. The ideal home would have 1-2 adults, no children (or plans for children) and no other pets, although Mochis best friend is a frenchie, so there is a possibility he could do well in a home with another small breed with the proper introduction. He currently lives with two children and does not do well with them. We care for him so deeply and are hopeful his perfect person is out there – someone who will treasure his quirks and adore him just as much as we do.
