Puppy

In September 2022, I was picking up my older dog from a day care center in Rosarito, Baja California. A tiny puppy covered in bugs popped her head out of a bush. I felt awful for the poor dog. A few moments later she was next to me. My heart strings were pulled, but I moved her to the side. Next she went behind my car, and then as I got out to not run her down in she climbed. I decided to at least get her fixed up. A vet told me the following morning it was 50/50, but we got her through. She had a rough start, but she is a big bundle of energy and fun now. That same month I became pregnant. From the start we knew she was a gem, but also that we lacked the time, space, or money to give her the life she deserves. She is the most fun loving and cuddly dog. She's earned a certificate in "Basic Obedience" and has attended professional dog training programs in San Diego, CA. She absolutely loves learning new tricks, loves to please her humans and is very trainable. Puppy has become best friends to our toddler, older dog Violet and younger cat. However, she does face some challenges with resource guarding that has shown me that while a perfect dog for a family she is not a perfect dog for toddlers. She needs a lot of exercise, love, and some training. I know in my heart it's best for her to have a family that can dedicate more time than I have for her. That said it is a really gut wrenching decision to rehome her because she is a really special pup.
