Augusta

Augusta is a striking American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever/Mastiff/Boxer mix from Indianapolis, IN, whose intelligence and devotion make her an loyal companion. Weighing 62 pounds, she is strong, sturdy, and full of energy. With her beautiful tricolor coat and deep brown eyes, Augusta is a head-turner with a happy personality.

Augusta is a recent training graduate who has worked hard on her leash manners, impulse control, and focus. She is fully crate trained, happily settling into her cozy retreat when asked. She thrives on consistency and focusing on her handler, making her an excellent partner for continued training.

Her love for people shines in her constant desire for snuggles and companionship. Augusta thrives with an active lifestyle and would do well in a home where she can enjoy physical exercise and mental enrichment. She is best suited as the only pet in an adult-only home with a guardian who has experience handling high-energy dogs.

Augusta showed up in our yard in Aug of 2024. She did have some aggressive tendencies - lunging at other dogs, cats, and people. But after consistent training, she's much better now and can walk by cats, dogs, and people with no issue.
