Scout

Scout has been with me since she was about 3 months old. It's with a really heavy heart that l'm looking to find her a new home. Scout does best with consistent human companionship, and unfortunately, l'm not home nearly as much as l used to be. So I'm really trying to do what's best for Scout, as difficult as that is. I'm looking for someone who is home often (e.g. retired, works from home, or doesn't spend long hours at the office or traveling frequently).

Scout has always been an only child so I don't know how she would react to other pets or young kids.

She's a healthy 8 pounds. She's agile and fit... she loves to jump up high. She received a clean bill of health from the vet in February.

She's incredibly soft...maybe because I groom her every night. This is her absolute favorite. Whenever she sees me take out her purple brush, she runs to our designated grooming spot. When I'm brushing her, she loves to look up at me and make eye contact. Sometimes she'll touch my face with her paw.

Scout is both independent and cuddly. She has no problem being picked up, but if she isn't in the mood, she'll jump down after a few seconds. Other times, she approaches me for long cuddles. Basically, she likes to cuddle on her own terms (pretty normal cat behavior!). She would love to spend her days lounging at home with her family nearby!
