Bean

Bean is a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix. A kind-hearted police officer rescued her as a puppy to keep her from an unpleasant life. The puppy lived in the police station until a college-aged student took her in. Bean has grown into a 106-bundle of sweetness with a very loud voice. This makes her incompatible with apartment life. We are looking for a great home for Bean. The dog is currently staying with family members outside of Chicago.

Some Bean traits:

  • House trained
  • Spayed
  • Vaccinated (with vet records)
  • Dog friendly*
  • Good student at doggie day-care
  • Good playmate at dog parks
  • Loyal and a watch dog; she does have a loud bark and needs attention, especially if you have neighbors!
  • Kid-friendly; especially with late elementary and older because of her size
  • Adaptable
  • Loves attention and will follow you everywhere!
  • Likes to snuggle in bed but does well roaming the house at night too
  • Travels well in the car
  • Would not do well in an apartment
  • Best in a fenced yard

*Bean has not had any issues with dogs at dog parks, daycare or boarding. However, we found a home for her with an older male dog that did not work out because Bean was stealing his dog treats.

If you are looking for a loyal companion and have space for a large-breed dog, Bean just might be for you!
