Ryker

I have a 5 year old full blooded registered male American Akita named Ryker. He isn't fixed yet but is up to date on shots etc. I have to rehome him to a family that has no other pets because he is territorial. He is a puppy at heart and likes to play and is very good with kids as he grew up with my 3 kids bugging him nonstop lol. Ryker looks like a beautiful black, white and brown lion. He loves to watch movies with other pets in them. Funny right? But he actually will lay and watch them or get excited and start jumping at the tv. He truly is my best friend but due to sad situations he has to go. We can't have him where we had to move. He has been stuck at my kid's father's house in a room because they have an older Rottweiler, and we can't trust they will get along at all due to past situations. Ryker got attacked by a pit and had to defend himself and took the pit down but since that day he hasn't been ok with other pets and breaks my heart. It's like he has to go into defense mode with other pets because he can't trust them. Ryker definitely has a huge personality which is one of my favorite things about him honestly. He ignores you for a couple days when he is mad at you lol and loves on you when he isn't. He is a loyal damn good dog. Anyone who built up this bad narrative around Akita's clearly hasn't owned enough to know they are only protecting theirs and a family becomes theirs really fast. Doesn't make them bad dogs at all. And all dogs can and will attack when backed to a corner or mistreated.
