Gemma is gorgeous, smart, sensitive, playful, and goofy, and she can sound just like Chewbacca from Star Wars when she plays. She is a loyal protector and genuine companion. She is a smart, well behaved, and patient 3 1/2 year old girl who has learned many basic commands and has a pretty good working vocabulary. She loves to run and play, so a large grassy yard or rural property would be great for her mental and physical well being. She can fly. She is an athlete and loves to run and catch the Chuckit ball in mid-air, or jump in and retrieve a stick or ball from the water, but she also loves to just hang out and cuddle on the couch or bed, or settle down with a marrow bone and a nap. She was well socialized as a puppy and loves all ages of humans, but has never lived with cats. Her beautiful soulful eyes speak volumes! Will you be her favorite person?

She needs lots of space to run, whether it is daily park time or a big back yard to play ball. She loves a sunny spot to sleep and bask. She loves children and would dote on them. An inclusive family unit would be healthy for her. She may be okay with another dog and loves to play, chase, and wrestle.

Gemma has lived with another dog for the last year and a half, since the puppy was 8 weeks old. She bonded with him and will miss him, but I also saw signs that he was stressing her as he got older. She would benefit if she had a play friend.
