He spent the first 3 years of his life in a crate before he was rescued so he is very timid of hardwood floors. We have hardwood throughout our entire downstairs and it has taken some time but he will walk on them. We do still have 2 carpet runners for his comfort and in the kitchen I have two 3×5 rugs so when i am cooking he can lay down by me.
