Meet Bradach, a one-year-old bundle of love from Tacoma, WA, whose heart is just as big as his size. This German Shepherd-Husky mix is a charming, goofy lap dog at heart—yes, all 84 pounds of him will happily try to squeeze onto your lap for snuggles!
Bradach is the ultimate “Velcro dog,” always wanting to be near his favorite person, no matter what you’re doing. Whether you’re lounging on the couch, working from home, or even just standing still, you’ll likely find him resting at your feet, offering silent companionship. His favorite activities include playing with treat toys, chasing balls, and working out his chew toys—but nothing beats quality time with his human.
While Bradach is house-trained, he sometimes needs a gentle reminder to head outside. He’s still learning the ropes of the world and can be a bit socially awkward, not always picking up on other dogs’ body language. Despite this, he generally gets along well with other dogs and could benefit from patient, positive reinforcement training to build his confidence. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "lay down," and with his eagerness to please, he’s ready to learn more.
Bradach experiences some anxiety, especially when left alone, which can lead to him chewing on furniture. He’s currently on anxiety medication to help manage his stress, and he self-soothes by licking his arm when he feels overwhelmed. A calm, structured environment with someone who understands or is open to learning about anxiety in dogs would be perfect for him.
Health-wise, Bradach is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and enjoys weekly brushing to keep his beautiful black-and-tan coat looking sharp! He also loves his dental chews, which help keep his smile healthy.
