Sweet unique boy who has a lot of love to give
Hi my name is Odinn, I am nearly 5 years old and I am an energetic boy who likes to cruise around the yard and play all the time until i take a long nap. I would do great with someone who is active and willing to keep up with my pace. I do not like small spaces so I do not like to be crated. I would do best in a home with no other animals and children over 10 years old. I am very smart, affectionate, and a huge people person. You coming home to me is the best part of my day besides getting to adventure with you.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?:
He is the sweetest boy when it comes to humans. He is a huge lover and will kiss you as much as you let him. Every time you come home he’s there to great you with lots of energy and Kisses. You could leave for 5 minutes and it’ll be the same response. He sometimes scrunches his nose and shows his teeth when he’s really happy to see you. He loves saying hello to people on walks. When he isn’t getting his way, he does this talky rumble and it’s really cute. He’s not a huge snuggler but does appreciate quite a bit if affection. He lives ear scratches to.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
He really needs a owner to understand he’s a unique dog with a strong personality. He shouldn’t be placed with other animals and needs someone who is willing to work with him everyday positive reinforcement. To be very patient and gentle with him. He loves kids but doesn’t need to be with children under 10 years old due to his reactivity in his space.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
He will give you a ton of love and always want to everything with you. He loves to go paddle boarding, swimming, go on walks/hikes, he isn’t the best at recall when he’s distracted by smells of the outdoors, he gets nervous or over stimulated in crowded social situations, he’s very vocal and knows how to use the push buttons to talk to you, he’s been attacked at a dog park in his earlier years and its been hard for him to overcome that ptsd around animals. He needs to continue to work on his confidence to become a better companion. He’s been through reactive training and could benefit from more individual work with him.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
Incompatible with Other Pets
Details about rehoming reason (if needed):
I have other pets that live with me and because the cost of living has gotten so high I’m forced to live in an apartment. He hates not having access to outside whenever he wants and doesn’t do well in small spaces or with other animals involved. He needs a human that can continue to give him the special attention he needs to thrive. He’s a great dog, but has resource guarding issues and does not do well with other animals in his living space. I have come to the hard realization that i am not the best for him anymore.
If applicable, do you have the legal right or necessary permission from the breeder or rescue organization to rehome this pet? :
Not Applicable
Yes
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to consider surrendering him or her to a rescue?:
Not an option, my pet will stay with me for as long as it takes
Who is your veterinarian?:
Oregon community veterinary hospital
What do you feed your pet, and does he/she have any feeding quirks or preferences?:
I used to feed him homemade food for years that was a strict healthy diet. I would meal prep his food each week. Since becoming a vegan I’ve had to switch over to dry food and sometimes add in a tablespoon of wet food If he is being picky. He loves snacks
