Meet Norman, our rescued pup, hailing from Los Angeles, CA! We believe he’s a GSD-husky-pit mix but his past is unknown.
Norm was found as a stray and has been with us in Michigan for about 4 months, just in time for the snow. And boy, does he love playing in the snow! Estimated around 1 yr old, he’s high-energy and very smart; Norm is goofy and curious, always ready for the next adventure.
We have been working hard on his leash manners and he’s doing well! He digs a long lead with the freedom to sprint for fetch - mostly with his beloved red ball. Norman knows many commands now and I am continuously blown away at how quickly he picks up training. He’s a gentleman in his crate. He isn’t a fan of the water yet (he avoids our creek) but loves venturing through our woods, jumping over felled trees, and exploring the wildlife scent trails.
Norman does not seem to be comfortable with kids, which has been our biggest challenge as we have 2 elementary-aged children. He’s curious with other dogs and has not demonstrated reactivity on walks. He’s extremely interested in squirrels, however, and seems to have a strong prey drive.
We know Norman will thrive with an experienced owner who’s willing to fulfill his activity needs and provide new challenges! He’s motivated to run, jump, and play; he will do anything for a little delicious kibble.
