Elsa

Meet Elsa, a sweet and intelligent one-year-old American Pitbull Terrier and Whippet mix from Glenwood, MN, whose heart is as big as her 60-pound frame! With her sleek black-and-white brindle coat and irresistibly soft fur, Elsa is not only a beauty but also a deeply loyal companion who’s searching for her next patient and loving home.

Elsa is a mix of playful energy and gentle affection. She loves being outside, going for walks, and spending quality one-on-one time with her favorite humans. Kongs, stuffed animals, and chew bones are some of her favorite things, but nothing compares to the joy she feels when bedtime arrives—snuggle time is her absolute favorite! She’s also incredibly smart—she was the first of her litter to learn commands like "sit," "lay," "stay," and "no," and she picks up new things quickly, she actually taught her siblings quite a bit.

Elsa is house-trained, crate-trained, and comfortable being left alone for periods of time, though she thrives in a home where she gets daily companionship and attention. She does well with some dogs but would do best in a home without other female canines, as she prefers to be the leading lady. She hasn’t had much experience with cats or young children, so any introductions should be done gradually.

Elsa can be timid when meeting new people and may bark or hide at first, but once she warms up, she’s as affectionate and devoted as they come! She just needs her new family to be willing to give her time and encouragement to build trust. A calm, patient approach will help her come out of her shell and show the loving, playful pup she truly is.

Elsa comes from a home where she was born and raised and has went through no abuse, only love.

Healthy, vaccinated, and eager for love, Elsa is ready to start her next chapter with someone who will cherish her and provide her with lots of affection! Could that be you?
