Archie

Meet Archie, an energetic and intelligent one-year-old Border Collie from Warrensburg, MO, whose zest for life is as boundless as his love for playtime! This black-and-white beauty is a natural athlete, always ready to chase, fetch, and run to his heart’s content.

Archie is the ultimate adventure buddy—whether it’s sprinting after a frisbee, joining you for a morning jog, or engaging in some mentally stimulating activities, he thrives on action and purpose! Though he doesn’t currently have a “job,” he has strong herding instincts and would excel in an environment where he can channel his energy into agility training, farm work, or regular outdoor adventures. He’s incredibly smart, already knowing commands like “sit,” “lay down,” “wait,” and even “chow down” (because every good boy deserves a reward!).

Social and friendly, Archie gets along well with people, kids, and most other dogs. He has also done well in dog parks, pet stores, and crowds. While he has coexisted peacefully with cats, he tends to be selective, so slow introductions with any feline friends would be best. His affectionate side shines through once he’s had proper exercise—after a full day of activity, he transforms into a cuddly, loving companion who’s happy to curl up by your side.

Archie is crate-trained and does well overnight, but because of his active nature, he shouldn’t spend extended periods confined—he needs space and regular outlets for his high energy. His ideal home would be one with plenty of room to run, such as a farm or a house with land. However, he could also thrive in an in-town home with an active pet parent who can provide structured activities like daily runs, agility courses, or frequent dog park visits.

Up to date on vaccinations, neutered, house-trained, and microchipped, Archie is ready to find his next loving home that will embrace his adventurous spirit! Could you be the perfect match for this fun-loving, affectionate pup?
